The Parque de España Complex is located in Rosario city, 300 km northwest of Buenos Aires, in a flat region called the Pampas. The Complex, a state of the art facility with breathtaking views of the river, has been built on the banks of the Parana River taking advantage of some old tunnels that used to serve as warehouses for the old port.
Parque de España is an educational institution officially recognized by the Ministries of Education of Argentina and Spain, and in November 2004 it was one of the official sites of the III International Congress of the Spanish Language.
This institution has a High School based on an integrated Argentine- Spanish curriculum which includes intensive studies in English and Portuguese, and a College, with programs in Agribusiness and Food. The College also offers teacher training courses and there are programs involving educational research and community service.
The courses of Spanish offered are targeted at different types of prospective attendees: foreign students/businessmen/professionals interested in the culture of “Iberoamerica” or in agribusiness, and teachers of Spanish as a second language. All the programs include cultural, sports, and community service (optional) activities, as well as outings in Rosario and short trips to Buenos Aires and other places of tourist interest in Argentina.

PROGRAM 1: “Enjoy your Spanish experience by the Parana River. Learn Spanish in the context of Argentinian culture and its relationship with “Ibero America”
A unique opportunity to travel to a far corner of the earth and set foot in a curve of the Paraná River, where Spanish and Italian immigrants settled in the late 1800s.
This is a chance to enjoy a very special blend of cultures and traditions, and feel the passion and energy of its people.

DESCRIPTION: This program is intended for foreign students, with or without chaperones, who are interested in the culture of Argentina and “Iberoamerica” and want to become fluent in the Spanish language.
A communicative language 3 or 4-week course, it gives participants the opportunity to attend language immersion classes in comfortable premises within a friendly environment next to the river. Activities related to the local culture include experiencing life in a true Argentine ‘estancia’ -with its typical ‘asado’, ‘mate’, and horseback riding with the ‘gauchos’; making trips to areas of tourist interest, especially Buenos Aires; attending Tango, Spanish Flamenco, and local Rock shows; practicing sports such as rugby, soccer, hockey or water sports (during Summer).Additionally, students have the possibility of visiting companies, governmental organizations, and of applying for internships as language assistants in English classes at High School.

PROGRAM 2: “Want to learn about Agribusiness in South America? Come to Rosario, Argentina!”
Get ready to follow the footsteps of the early European explorers and discover a rich culture in a country that stretches to one of the southernmost points of the world, in a land once referred to as the world's grainery. Feel the joy of living in Rosario, the center of Argentina’s vibrant local agricultural economy and one of the key cities in South America’s MERCOSUR common market.

Language of Instruction: English. Survival Spanish Course.
DESCRIPTION: This program is intended for undergraduate students, as well as for professionals, interested in learning about the challenges of doing agribusiness in South America, especially in Argentina. The 4-week program provides an introduction to Argentine geography, culture and language, as well as a survival Spanish course. It gives an overview of agribusiness in Argentina and South America, and it addresses crop production and processing, storage, transportation, ports, trading, animal production, organic production and standards, the wine and fruit industry and its association with tourism and real estate businesses, the local food industry, and research and technology issues. Students participate in field trips to Buenos Aires and within the Pampa region and have the possibility to interact with local farmers and company managers. Also, they are able to socialize and take part in cultural and entertaining activities, such as the Argentine famous “asados”, tango dancing, soccer playing and mate drinking.
